The Gauteng social development MEC Faith Mazibuko has announced extension date of funding applications for Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs).
With the initial closing date set to 15 October, it has been moved to 30 October 2025 allowing two weeks of reprieve.
MEC Mazibuko made the announcement on Tuesday at Orlando Communal Hall in Soweto after concluding her quarterly meeting with NPOs throughout the province.
“During the engagements, some NPOs requested an extension because they have faced technical challenges with our new online application system, and we want to assure the sector that we are addressing these system challenges”, the MEC said and also advised that alternatively the applications can be emailed.
Commitment to access funding
Mazibuko added that the department was committed to supporting NPOs in accessing funding.
Smart online applications will also continue to be implemented as the department is going paperless.
