The party insists NPA reconsider reinstating charges over alleged IPID investigator impersonation, citing testimony on serious misconduct that requires court testing.

Dereleen James, a member of parliament, is adamant that having allowed a matter of this seriousness to go unresolved for nearly a decade is entirely indefensible.

Further stating that the current situation undermines confidence in the criminal justice system, especially given the ongoing exposure of widespread institutional infiltration through the Madlanga Commission and the Ad Hoc Committee.

“While both the Commission and the Committee’s respective probes continue, ActionSA believes that we have barely scratched the surface of the criminality and undue influence that has infested nearly every aspect of our criminal justice system.

“Based on what has already emerged, our institutions appear to have been hijacked by individuals more invested in advancing criminal interests or personal agendas than in protecting South Africans from crime,” she asserts.

James says the antidote to this crisis is good law enforcement fighting to protect institutions and remove all implicated individuals, ensuring they face the full legal consequences for betraying their responsibilities.
