Vusumuzi Vilakazi has resigned from Chippa United, two months after he joined the club.

The 41-year-old coach dumped Arrows in September despite a good start to the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season to take over the technical director position at the Gqeberha-based outfit.
Vilakazi was on the bench with Morgan Mammila when Chippa lost to Cape Town City on Tuesday.
The Chilli Boys announced his departure following a brief stint and said they respect his decision to step down.
Vilakazi’s decision… a surprise
“Vilakazi’s decision has indeed come as a surprise as we had looked forward to a longer collaboration, drawing on his fresh perspective and youthful vigour.
“However, we respect his choice to pursue the next chapter in his professional journey. In moving forward, we thank Mr. Vilakazi for his service and close his chapter with mutual respect and goodwill,” the statement read.
