A Swaziland national was found in possession of heroin worth over R75 million and has made his second appearance before Carolina District Court in Mpumalanga facing drug trafficking charge.

Bonginkosi Cyril Gamedze (48), is charged with contravention of provisions of Section 5(a) of the Drugs and Drug Trafficking Act 140 of 1992.
National Prosecuting Authority’s regional spokesperson Monica Nyuswa said Gamedze was arrested last week after the police received a tip-off about a truck transporting drugs traveling from Mozambique to Badplaas.
“They acted on the information, stopped, and searched the truck that the accused was traveling with, found drugs worth millions, and the suspect was apprehended.
