Former Orlando Pirates player, Thandani Ntshumayelo made a brief appearance at the Randburg Magistrates’ Court, facing a charge of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

According to National Prosecuting Authority Gauteng spokesperson, Phindi Mjonondwane the incident happened on 02 February 2024, at the soccer star’s place of residence.

“The complaint is in a relationship with the accused and alleges that she was with Bibo and his friends at his place when a fight between the accused and one of his friends ensued.

“She then tried to intervene in an attempt to calm down the accused. Ntshumayelo then allegedly became aggressive towards her, by slapping her across the face, grabbed her by her head and hit it against the wall. She further alleges that he then pushed her to the ground.

Ntshumayelo was released on R1000 bail. He will be back in court on April 4, as the case was postponed for further investigations.

In other news, a warrant of arrest has been issued for former Supersport United goal-poacher Thamsanqa Gabuza by the Alexandra magistrate’s court.

This comes after his failure to attend court proceedings regarding a charge of intentionally causing damage to property, reports Sunday World.

In a statement, police said Gabuza visited his ex-girlfriend at her home in Sandton, where the incident allegedly occurred.

“The complainant said Gabuza allegedly asked her for sex but then she refused. It is then that the soccer star became aggressive and roughly pushed her against the wall towards her bedroom.

“The complainant allegedly managed to free herself and ran back to the lounge. Gabuza is accused of following her, snatching her cellphones and smashing them against the wall.”

The 36-year-old TS Galaxy striker is scheduled to return to court on February 15 and give a justification for his absence.

Ganda-Ganda is out on R3 000 bail.
