Meanwhile, a 30-year-old father is expected to appear before the Stilfontein magistrates’ court on Monday, for the alleged murder of his two-year-old son.Â
North West police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Amanda Funani, said the suspect and his 27-year-old girlfriend separated after they had an argument.

“The following morning, the girlfriend eventually consented on condition that her brother accompanies the children.
“However, on arrival at his place, the boyfriend instructed the children’s uncle to go back home. The uncle left with the four-year-old, leaving behind the two boys, aged two and eight,” she explained.
Lt Col Amanda Funani, stated that the children’s mother received a call from the boyfriend on Saturday, August 31, informing her that he was about to do something.Â
She added; “The mother then called the children’s grandmother who informed her that they were on the way to hospital after the suspect allegedly poisoned himself and the two children.
