Legendary broadcaster DJ Sbu is making a return to radio after a decade having bagged a gig as the new host SABC station’s Radio 2000 breakfast show.

He will host the new breakfast show, called the #NoNameBreakfastShow, starting from Monday, April 1, airing weekdays from 6am to 9am.
DJ Sbu who is back on radio after almost a decade away takes over from DJ Glen Lewis, who has anchored Radio 2000’s breakfast show since 2023.
As the show debuts, listeners will have the opportunity to suggest a name for the program, with fantastic prizes up for grabs.
The Tembisa-born lad will co-present with the current team of Nathi Ndamase and Lelo Mzaca as the sports anchor.
In a statement released, the station said it is excited to launch a new breakfast show with a lineup that boasts some of the most notable household names in the industry.
“The station has recorded audience increases of over 170 000 listeners from March 2023 to date, whilst entrenching itself in the hearts of its listener and keeps on delivering on their mandate which has seen it achieve and surpass the two million audience mark,” the statement read.

Another addition to the station is the award winning producer, artist, businessman, DJ and hitmaker Tlou Cleopas Monyepao aka ‘DJ Cleo’.
The winner of several music awards – DJ Cleo with his wealth of musical knowledge will host a brand-new dance show ‘The Eskhaleni Party’ Fridays, 22h00 – 00h00.
The station bids farewell to radio legend Lewis Mpotseng Tshinaba aka Glen Lewis.
The Teddy Bear of the airwaves who has since joined Kaya FM will present his last show on Friday, March 29.

Meanwhile, the rest of weekday daytime lineup remains unchanged with the vibrant Ntombi Phiri on Better Together, 09h00 – 12h00.
David Mashabela returns with another season of The Royal Playground, 12h00 – 15h00.
While Paul Mnisi drives you home together with his team Isaac Gampu and Lonwabo Nkohla on sports duty on The Drive Connection, 15h00 – 18h00.
