Global sensation Lloyiso is gearing up for an emotionally charged show at Carnival City Big Top Arena on March 29.
The Eastern Cape-born songbird will perform some of his new songs at the iconic venue, which has played host to some of the biggest names in music.
During the performance, the singer is expected to deliver a carefully curated show filled with raw emotion. The night promises a refined and stylish experience that complements the mood and intimacy of his music.
The Mzansi R&B star, whose real name is Loyiso Gijana, recently released his debut album, Never Thought I Could Part 1, last Friday.
The seven-track project, more than five years in the making, marks a bold and deeply personal chapter for the Kariega-born artist, who first captured national attention on Idols South Africa in 2015 before carving out his own path in the global music space.
“Some of these songs I did five years ago, and there were a lot of ups and downs in my career, starting from Idols SA to where I am right now,” he said.
“This album is about overcoming those obstacles and quieting the voices in your head that tell you you’re not able to or not good enough.”
Lloyiso’s loyal fan base
Over the years, Lloyiso has built a loyal fan base affectionately known as The Heard, who champion his soulful Afro-pop sound. His powerful vocals and heartfelt songwriting have already made waves internationally, earning him a growing following in the United Kingdom.
“It’s about making sure that whatever you do, you do it with your whole heart. I’ve put my heart into this album. I’ve put everything into this album,” he said.
His songwriting ability, which balances deeply personal storytelling with relatable themes while maintaining a strong connection with fans, has helped cement his place as a household name.
