This comes after a series of social media posts where Zuma-Sambudla expressed her dissatisfaction with Floyd Shivambu, calling the party’s SG “useless” and a Mafikizolo (new comer).

In one of the tweets, Zuma-Sambudla wrote; “Floyd I’m Not Scared Of YOU!!! Tell Your Minions To FUCK OFF … Bloody Mafikizolo’s.”

The party has since condemned her comments saying it’s a direct violation of its code of conduct.

In a statement issued, the party president Jacob Zuma said such actions are unacceptable, divisive, denigrating, and offensive.

Adding that they undermine the principles of unity, respect, and discipline that are fundamental to the values of uMkhonto weSizwe Party.

“She must also extend formal apologies to all structures she serves in or leads, including the Southern Caucus of the Pan-African Parliament.

“These apologies must be made immediately. Following this, an internal disciplinary process will be initiated in accordance with the uMkhonto weSizwe Party constitution, code of conduct and all relevant prescripts.

Possible expulsion from the party

“Failure to comply with this directive will result in immediate consequences, including the summary termination of Commander Duduzile Zuma’s membership in uMkhonto weSizwe Party and her recall from all Party responsibilities,” the statement read.

Zuma said uMkhonto weSizwe Party is a movement of the people, grounded in maximum discipline and strict adherence to the disciplinary code of conduct.

He added; “No member, regardless of position, is above the Constitution of uMkhonto weSizwe.”

Seemingly, while has been lambasted for trying to turn the party into a family stokvel, Shivambu has been receiving love and affection from netizens following the outburst.

His former commander at EFF and actor, Fana Mokoena took to the socials and said; “The SG of uMkhonto weSizwe, Floyd Shivambu must remain strong. This is part of leading a new organisation. Upheavals are part of process.

“If you keep a strong head and hold your own, the storm passes and the organisation grows. Black organisations must grow and unite.”
