The Gautrain Management Agency (GMA) is set to launch an on-demand service known as Gau Express, aimed at enhancing first- and last-mile connectivity for passengers traveling to and from train stations.

The agency said this initiative is designed to facilitate easier access to its services, making it more convenient for users to reach their destinations.
This is the result of continuous efforts to ensure an efficient, safe, and reliable passenger experience, according to Albi Modise, GMA senior executive manager for communication and marketing.
“Once completed and ready for rollout, the Gautrain Express Service will be a mobile application-based service that connects commuters with drivers in real time,” he added.
Modise highlighted that the service is an integral component of Gautrain’s innovative strategies and solutions aimed at enhancing mobility integration.
It reflects the organization’s commitment to advancing transportation options and improving connectivity within the urban landscape.

He continued, “This is aimed at addressing gaps the GMA has identified in its feeder and distribution service for customers travelling to and from Gautrain stations.
