This follows after a highly anticipated hiatus that had fans constantly calling for new music.

His shift from Gqom to the fast-rising 3-step genre signals a new era in South African dance music.

Ushering in a bold new chapter of his career with the upcoming album Amandla Ka Gogo and lead single Intombi Entsha,” was released on Friday accompanied by striking visuals.

Speaking through his recording company, award-winning musician TNS stated that his comeback signifies not merely a return, but a ‘powerful evolution’.

Born Nkazimulo Ngema in Mandeni, KwaZulu-Natal, TNS first captured the nation’s attention by producing massive chart-toppers like Prince Kaybee’s “Club Controller” and “Banomoya.”

He has since launched his own label and released hit albums such as Madlokovu King of African House and Phupholetu.

Known for his roots in Gqom, TNS has made a significant sonic shift toward 3-step, while still retaining elements of the raw Gqom energy that first defined his sound.

This transition positions him firmly as a “super producer,” one who is not confined by genre but instead shapes it.

TNS’ lineage, legacy, and growth

Amandla Ka Gogo is the third and final installment in a deeply personal trilogy that chronicles TNS’ lineage, legacy, and growth.

The journey began with Madlokovu, King of African House, a dedication to his grandfather who raised him, followed by Phupholethu, named after his son.

Amandla Ka Gogo brings the story full circle, honouring his grandmother, another pivotal figure in his upbringing, and celebrating the strength, wisdom, and influence she imparted.

“The trilogy is my life in sound. Each project represents a generation that shaped me. This final chapter is about power, gratitude, and stepping fully into who I am — not just as an artist, but as a producer,” said TNS.

Leading the project is the single “Intombi Entsha,” a forward-thinking track that captures the refined direction of his new sound.

The release will be supported by official visuals, reinforcing the artist’s commitment to storytelling beyond music and signalling a fully realised creative era.

With Amandla Ka Gogo, TNS reclaims his space in the culture, evolved, intentional, and firmly in control of his craft, offering fans both the music they’ve been waiting for and a vision of where African electronic music is heading next.
