Emer-G-Med says paramedics responded to the scene of a collision involving a light motor vehicle and a motorcycle on John Vorster Road in Weltevreden Park, north of Johannesburg.

“On arrival on scene it was established that a motorcycle had collided with a light motor vehicle in a T-bone fashion, resulting in the car overturning.

“The male motorcyclist was found with critical injuries and was treated and stabilized on scene before being taken to a nearby hospital for further care.

“A female occupant of the car suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further care”.

A female motorist survived a single-vehicle crash on Dr Enos Mabuza Drive, Nelspruit in Mpumalanga.

According to Emer-G-Med, paramedics responded to the scene and found that a light motor vehicle crashed into a tree at high speed and high impact.

“The engine of the vehicle was ejected from the chassis during the impact.

“The motorist was found seated in the wreckage with moderate injuries. She was treated and stabilized on scene before being taken to a nearby hospital for further care”.

One person died and another suffered injuries when a building collapsed at Chris Hani Stadium in Orange Farm.

The City of Johannesburg emergency services spokesperson, Robert Mulaudzi says the two men were apparently stripping the abandoned building when it collapsed on them.

“The injured person was treated on scene and then transported to the hospital for further medical care,” he said.”

Mulaudzi urged residents not to enter construction sites or even try to remove material from such buildings.
