Three dead, four injured as vehicle rolled on R42

Three people were certified dead on the scene while four sustained injuries following a vehicle accident on the R42, Barrage Road, Vanderbijlpark south of Johannesburg on Sunday morning.

According to the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT-SA) Vaal crew, they received and responded to a call at around 5:30am for a motor vehicle collision.

“Upon arrival, we found one vehicle that had rolled. Three patients were still entrapped in the vehicle, and four patients had been ejected from the vehicle.

“Four of the patients sustained moderate injuries and were stabilized on scene before being transported to nearby facilities by ER24 and Gauteng Emergency Medical Services.

Community Emergency Response Team-SA Vaal crew responded to a call at around five thirty on Sunday morning for a motor vehicle collision.

“Three patients unfortunately passed due to the extent of their injuries and were declared dead on scene,” said CERT-SA.

Meanwhile, in another incident a middle-aged man was found dead following a serious motor vehicle collision on Umgeni Road near Smiso Nkwanyana Road in Stamford Hill, KwaZulu-Natal on Sunday morning.

Emer-G-Med paramedics said they responded to the scene at approximately 5:00am, and up on arrival a high end luxury motor vehicle was found to have smashed into a tree.

The driver who was the only occupant of the vehicle, a male aged approximately forty years old, was found to have sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead on arrival of paramedics.
