Hyundai Automotive South Africa is recalling 253 Tucson NX4 vehicles sold nationally in 2025, as per the announcement by the National Consumer Commission.

This recall has been issued to inform consumers about the necessary actions regarding the affected vehicles.
In a statement issued by the commission’s spokesperson, Phetho Ntaba, it was reported that some vehicles may have been equipped with a side impact airbag sensor that does not meet the correct specifications, as indicated by the supplier.
Is your Hyundai fitted with the correct sensor?
“Owners must have the affected vehicles inspected using Hyundai’s diagnostic (GDS) equipment to determine whether the correct sensor has been fitted.
“Consumers who own affected vehicles are urged to book an inspection at their nearest authorised Hyundai dealership. The inspection will establish whether the correct side-impact airbag sensor has been fitted.
