South African comedian and radio personality Skhumba Hlophe brings his new one-man show special “As I was Saying” at the Big Top Arena in Carnival City, Ekurhuleni on December 9.
This hard-working Hlophe’s fifth extremely successful comedy show is set to start at 19:00.
The back by popular demand display, will feature a crazy line up of his comedian friends.
However, it’s a stand-up comedy which makes him tick. From politics to celebrities, nothing is off limits when it comes to his set and he pulls no punches with jokes that are witty although sometimes raw.
Speaking through his publicist, Sindi Mnguni, Skhumba said the Weekend comedy special will be nothing short of spectacular and crazy funny.
He has already been touring across the country since the past months. His show was received with great enthusiasm and attendance. The tour was previously held in 2021 and received massive response.
Mnguni said the comedy special aims to cater to a variety of audiences as comedians and will deliver their material in English, IsiZulu, IsiXhosa, seSotho, seTswana and sePedi.
For those who don’t know this character, Skhumba became well-known thanks to his role as Bheki in SABC1’s comedy series Thandeka’s Diary.
