Lesedi Kapinga has left the Buccaneers on mutual agreement just one season after joining from Mamelodi Sundowns.

Orlando Pirates announced on Tuesday that they have agreed with Kapinga to terminate his contract.
The 29-year-old attacking midfielder the Soweto-giants ahead of the DStv Premiership 2023/24 season on a three-year deal and managed just 13 appearances.
Kapinga who enjoyed his footballing career at Black Leopards before moving to Chloorkop amid fanfare struggled to get starting birth at the reigning MTN8 Cup champions.
“Orlando Pirates Football Club can confirm that it has reached an agreement with Lesedi Kapinga for the early release of his contract.
“Both parties have agreed to amicably part ways following a meeting earlier today.
“On behalf of the extended Orlando Pirates family, we would like to thank Lesedi for his time at the Club and we wish him all the best for the future,” the statement read.
Kapinga joins a list of free agent players
The PSL’s transfer deadline day is on September 20, and Kapinga joins a list of players such as Kermit Erasmus, Richard Ofori, Keagan Dolly, Samir Nurkovic, and Bongani Zungu who are free agents.
Meanwhile, the Club has welcomed the return of left-back, Paseka Mako, who resumed training following an injury lay-off.
The 30-year-old has been sidelined for a lengthy period, having last featured for the Buccaneers in October last year.
This is after sustaining a knee ligament injury while on international duty, shortly after debuting for South Africa in a Friendly against Eswatini.
“Following a successful surgery and subsequent rehabilitation, Mako has made significant strides in his recovery process.

“He resumed light training in August and has now been declared fit to join his teammates in their preparations for the start of their Betway Premiership campaign,” the Club said.
Pirates will kick-start their Betway Premiership campaign with a midweek clash against Chippa United, at the Orlando Stadium, Soweto on Wednesday evening.
