Tons of fun at the Inaugural Ekurhuleni Rhythm and Food Festival awaits foodies, music lovers

All roads will lead to the east of Johannesburg as the inaugural Ekurhuleni Rhythm and Food Festival premieres with a bang at the scenic outdoor field in Carnival City Lawns.

The much-anticipated festival will take place on March 1, and is expected to start at 10am until midnight.

As top-tier entertainment and more cook guests are anticipated, is set to expect a festive atmosphere and delicious eats.

The occasion features an electrifying line-up of live performances with artists such as Sjava, Black Motion, Makhadzi, Mnqobi Yazo, DJ Zinhle, Mlindo the Vocalist, Mörda, Mzukulu, Emtee, Mas Musiq, to name but a few.

Despite the long list of musicians, foodies are also in for a treat as participating commis-chefs will take the stand in this event in the ultimate gathering for food lovers and music enthusiasts.

This year’s event will be the biggest yet, with more patrons expected to attend.

Through a statement, Thikho Events’ Thulisile Maseko said there will be amazing food, drink stalls, demonstrations, and pop-ups.

“Patrons will be treated to a wide array of culinary experiences, including wine tasting and a beer garden, offering a taste of South Africa’s vibrant food culture”.

This occasion promised to be a vibrant celebration of the city’s diverse culinary heritage, craft, and music.

The event which is presented by Thikho Events and Nqobizitha-Eudaimonia, promises to be an unforgettable experience. 

In addition, a variety of fun-filled games and competitions will be available for attendees of all ages, ensuring an engaging and entertaining experience for everyone.

Tickets for this event are on sale now and range from R350 for general access, R450 Golden Circle and R1500 for VIP are available through Computicket.

Thikho Events says cooler box entries are allowed, however at R200 per cooler box. Tickets are available for the cooler box on Computicket as well.
