Puseletso’s body was found three weeks ago hidden in the bushes in De Deur and her car, a Range Rover, was found abandoned in the nearby town of Vereeniging.
When the body was discovered, her husband had reported her missing a few days earlier and had reportedly told the police he last heard from her when she took off to a family gathering in Sebokeng.
Speaking to Vaal Metro X-press at the scene where Puseletso’s body was found, De Deur SAPS spokeswoman Constable Mapaseka Maketekete said a passerby who found the body went to the De Deur police station to report the matter.
“Police officer were deployed to the scene and the body of a woman was found.
She had apparently been strangled to death and had a wound on the head.
A murder investigation is underway,” she said.
Maketekete said the woman had been reported missing at Vereeniging SAPS.
The couple lived in the East Rand and had a son together, Kamohelo (9).
Sources close to the case told Vaal Metro X-press Dollar had left what appeared to be a suicide note that he wished to be buried alongside his wife – a wish Puseletso’s family allegedly dismissed.
Puseletso was buried at the Vanderbijlpark cemetery last week following an emotional funeral attended by scores of mourners at the Rhoda Yende hall in her hometown of Sharpeville.
Her mother, Anna Letsoenyo said the family was saddened by Puseletso’s death, which left many questions unanswered.
“We last saw her when she left to attend her grandmother’s funeral in Sebokeng Zone 3,” she said.
