Gauteng human settlements, MEC Tasneem Motara, conducted an extensive site visit to four key locations in the Sedibeng Region on Tuesday.

The sites included Sicelo Shiceka, Lethabong Mega, Sebokeng Ext. 30, and Ext. 28.

According to the department, the MEC’s visit aimed to assess the progress of ongoing housing projects and engage directly with project stakeholders.

During her visits, MEC Motara met with project managers, site managers, contractors, and regional managers to discuss the advancements made at each site.

She expressed her satisfaction with the progress, noting that the department is on track to meet both timelines and budget allocations for all projects observed.

“The developments we have witnessed today underscore our commitment to delivering housing solutions efficiently. I am confident that the housing delivery for the next financial year will be completed within the allotted timeframes,” MEC Motara remarked.

Additionally, MEC Motara was particularly impressed by several social impact initiatives implemented by contractors at various sites.

She emphasized the importance of these initiatives, expressing her hope that they will be replicated in future projects to enhance community engagement and support.
