According to Emergency Control South Africa(ECSA), members responded to a call to the scene and upon arrival it was established that two light motor vehicles had collided in the intersection.
ECSA said this resulted in one of the vehicles to roll over coming to a standstill on its roof.
“Our crews ensured safety on the scene and resources from ER24 EMS were able to assess and treat the injured patients. Fortunately only minor injuries were reported on the scene and the patient declined hospital transportation,” ECSA added.
City of Johannesburg Metropolitan officials as well as South African Police Services were also on scene to investigate the cause of the accident.
The roadway was cleaned and later reopened for traffic.
Meanwhile, an Ambulance and a School transport vehicle collided on the intersection of Ontdekkers Road and Corlett Street in Witpoortjie.
