The newly promoted side are languishing at the bottom of the log with four defeats and finding it tough to adjust in top flight football.

In a statement issued, the team said although the results have been disappointing, coach Bartlett has the full support of the club’s board.

Spurs’ lambast ‘unfounded statements’

“We ask that people respect that Shaun has a contract with the club and refrain from making unfounded statements in the media to gain cheap publicity for their own personal benefit,” the statement read.

The Cape-side woes are piling up with striker Boitumelo Radiopane out injured with a bone fracture until January 2024 and the club desperately needing a proven goalscorer after scoring a single goal from four games.

Spurs next match sees them travel to Soweto to face twelfth placed Moroka Swallows on Wednesday.
