The court heard how he left the Vosloorus crime scene unattended on October 26, 2014 when the soccer star was shot and killed.
Five men are on trial for the murder of Meyiwa at the Vosloorus home of singer Kelly Khumalo.
Mathebula has explained to the court that he was the driver that night to the scene with Mthethwa.
