A truck driver lost his arm in a horror scene of a heavy motor vehicle collision on the Schoemanskloof Road in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga on Thursday morning.
According to Emer-G-Med, paramedics responded to the call and found the driver with critical injuries.
“On arrival on scene two heavy articulated vehicles were found to have collided with one overturning and coming to a rest on its side, occupying the width of the roadway.
“The driver was found with critical injuries and closer inspection noted his right arm to have been amputated in the mechanism of the crash.

“Intermediate Life Support practitioners worked fervently to stabilize him whilst a decision was made to airlift him with the assistance of the Netcare 911 aeromedical helicopter to a specialist facility for the definitive care that he required”.
