A man has been killed following a fatal truck accident in KwaZulu-Natal on Monday afternoon.

According to ALS Paramedics Medical services, they responded to multiple calls of a serious truck accident on the corner of North Coast Road and Victor Road in Durban North.
“On arrival Paramedics found carnage as they found that a heavy container load on the rear of a truck had unhinged and crushed the driver in the cab.
“The driver and only occupant in the vehicle, a male, believed to be in his forties had sustained major injuries and unfortunately was declared deceased on scene by Paramedics. The Ethekwini Fire Department was called to assist in extricating the driver.
“At this stage the events leading up to the incident is unknown, however, SAPS and Metro Police were in attendance and will be investigating further,” the statement read.
Meanwhile, a pregnant woman collided into a tree on Saturday afternoon in Oakford, KwaZulu-Natal.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) confirmed that no serious injuries were reported after a vehicle collided into a tree on Oakford Drive in Redcliffe.

“Members arrived on scene and discovered that a silver VW Jetta had crashed into a tree. The driver informed Reaction Officers that she is eight months pregnant. She allegedly lost control of her car before it veered off the road and crashed,” RUSA said.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were summoned to the scene to conduct an examination on the woman.
