Bellarmine Chatunga Mugabe, 28, and Tobias Tamirepi Matonhodze, 33, case has been postponed by the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court for further proceedings.

The postponement was granted so the state can give the defence documentary evidence from Home Affairs, allowing the defence time to get further instructions.
The accused face charges including attempted murder, defeating justice, possession of illegal firearm and ammunition, two counts of pointing a firearm, and Immigration Act violation.
The charges arise from an alleged incident in which an altercation occurred between the accused and the complainant inside Mugabe’s residence.

“It is alleged that during the altercation, the complainant was assaulted and attempted to flee the premises but was shot in the back and collapsed outside the gate.
The accused’s next court appearance
“One of the accused took a remote control from the complainant, returned to the property and closed the gate. A security guard from a neighbouring residence reportedly noticed the complainant lying outside and alerted the police,” NPA Gauteng Spokesperson Magaboke Mohlatlole explained.
The accused are expected to reappear before the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, March 5.
