Voters have championed ‘poli-tricking’ during election time as such they deserve a huge chunk as bakery owners instead of a mere slice of bread, Jabu Rakwena insists.

Our people are beginning to see the hypocrisy of career politicians and their parties in trying to buy their votes through empty promises and food parcels or free t-shirts.

People are taking the fun back to the politicians and playing them at their own game.

There is a clip of a young man who, over the weekend, went all the way to Durban and enjoyed a free outing, free lunch and a free t-shirt.

The young man’s smirk smile as he declares he only came to listen to the false promises, got a t-shirt from the ruling party but is determined to vote for an opposition party.

This brings into sharp focus the warning by AZAPO of the folly of pumping millions of rands into political campaigns as an attempt to buy votes and promising our people what you know you won’t implement.

Nothing has unsettled the ruling party than the formation of MK party. The ruling party may be planning on strategy for their campaign unaware that the mole is siting right there helping the opposition party with counter strategy.

The filled stadium might have carried a third of opposition votes. Patting yourself on the back thinking you outperformed others in the numbers game is “not make sure”.

Bob Marley once said if money is the source of your happiness then you will never be happy because money is numbers and numbers never end.

Someone might raise billions for their campaign, then you will be forced to raise more billions to outsmart him. Where is this rat chase gonna end.

Our people must realise that the answer to their misery, poverty, unemployment, powerlessness, lack of decent health care and education lies in their landlessness and failure to own the commanding heights of the economy in the land of their birth.

Instead of complaining that Oppenheimer is discriminating by giving more money to the ruling party and the official opposition party, we should be asking where does Oppenheimer get so much money to give.

We deserve the whole bakery and not the slices of bread dished out by the baker who is not even the owner of the bakery.
