Cape Town City football club have announced the signing of former Mamelodi Sundowns attacking midfielder Haashim Domingo on a three-year deal.

The 28-year-old star returns to the DStv Premier Soccer League following a stint in Morocco with Raja Casablanca, where he won the Botola Pro 1 League title this season.
This, however, having a tough spell in the Moroccan top-flight by struggling for regular game time and making only ten league appearance.
Domingo joined Downs in September 2020 from the now defunct Bidvest Wits and went on to win three league titles with the Tshwane giants prior to signing for Raja.
He joins Eric Tinkler’s side as a free agent after the attacker was forced to have his dispute with Casablanca handled by FIFA following the club’s failure to pay outstanding monies for several months.
Domingo’s humble beginning
He returns to a Cape Town club after last playing for Ajax Cape Town in 2015.

Domingo left before making a first team debut, moving to Vitoria Guimaraes in Portugal. There he played second division football the club and also had a loan spell in Norway before returning to South Africa.
