Ima Wooh | Angelic gospel melodies set to harmonise one’s soul this weekend

It will be a Saturday filled with praise and worship as Mzansi greatest will wow gospel lovers who will come out in their numbers to fill Big Top Arena in Carnival City.

The praiseworthy event is scheduled to take place this Saturday, August 10 and is expected to start at 18:00.

It is set the artists will bring the house down with their powerful and mesmerising vocals as gospel giants will share their anointed voices.

The line up will be headlined by award-winning Lebo Sekgobela, Dumi Mkokstad, Sibongukwanda Nyangiwe known as Jumbo, Sipho Makhabane, Ian Calf, Khongelani, “Mina nendlu yami” hit maker Archbishop Vusi Gama, Brilliant and Mini Twins.

The organisers urged the patrons to come early to avoid delay of the show. 

Sekgobela cemented her name in the music scene after the release of her album, Restored, in 2016, which sold multi-platinum.

The single from the album, “Lion Of Judah”, has been dubbed a national anthem having topped radio charts across the country, not only on the gospel charts, but across mainstream charts.

Sekgobela’s career started with her first album release in 2013 titled “Ke Ngwana Hao”, followed by “Ke Modimo” and “By His Grace”.

Mkokstad was recently on the spotlight after being involved in an altercation with Hip-Hop artist Big Zulu during the the celebrity Soccer Games where Big Zulu called [Mkokstad] him a “boy”.

The incident which occurred on the day of the games descended into chaos.
