The much-loved gospel group, Rising Sun, recorded their long-awaited second live DVD titled Love The Greatest at Big Top Arena, in Carnival City on Saturday night.

The group brought mellifluous sounds to the arena as patrons, friends and family members danced, sang their lungs out while worshiping to the soothing sounds.
This was evident as patrons came in their numbers to the packed arena. The show was supposed to start at 18:00 but it was delayed a bit to allow everyone to take their seats.
The show started with a grand entrance from members of the choir clad in matching maroon ceremonial attires and representing numerous churches while the band wore lime green apparel.
The backing vocalists were glad in their [silky] dresses and looking superb.
After the group’s first song – the stage became dark, and the lights flashed, the group was glad to see the crowd. Their performance set was divided into separate segments: worship, mid-tempo, traditional and praise.
For the second set, they all wore different exquisite outfits leaving their fans yearning for more.
The stage was set on holy fire with performances from musical greats such as Dumi Mkokstad, Sipho “The Big Fish” Makhabane, Brilliant and Mini Twins, Sibongukwanda Nyangiwe (known as Jumbo), Ian Calf, Khongelani and “Mina nendlu yami” hit-maker Archbishop Vusi Gama.

By the time Sipho Makhabane performed the audience was in seventh heaven.
“I enjoyed tonight’s performance; the attendance was awesome. I am looking forward to working with Rising Sun again,” explained Makhabane.
We’ve stayed true to the vision, which was to give young, unknown, and raw talent an opportunity. To teach, impart, grow, and give them a platform to showcase what they can be,” he remarked.
“Rising Sun has never disappointed. Rest assured; we’ll have an awesome performance. Whenever we have to perform for our supporters, we make sure that we sound great.
