Almost three hundred deserving beneficiaries will officially be handed title-deeds in Savanna City, Midvaal this morning (Friday).Â

The ceremony expected to be led by Gauteng MEC for Human Settlements and Infrastructure Development Lebo Maile will also be graced by Sedibeng district mayor Lerato Maloka and MMC for Human Settlements Madisebo Khomoeasera.

Since 2015 more than 10 250 title-deeds have been issued to beneficiaries in the district.
The department said it will also roll-out beneficiary education to help the deserving beneficiaries to protect their new asset and understand the responsibilities that come with home ownership.

Savanna City is a residential area with an integrated housing development set to yield 18 399 mixed housing units upon completion. The different typologies of housing units consists of fully subsidised, bonded houses and military veterans’ units.
The project will also include 16 schools, a conservation area of 400ha together with public open spaces, 32 institutional sites, clinics, churches, social facilities and nine commercial and retail opportunities.
