Midvaal Local Municipality is significantly progressing with the construction of the Lakeside Multipurpose Centre.

The executive mayor, Peter Teixeira, visited the project site with mayoral committee members and municipal manager Phumudzo Magodi to monitor progress and confirm the project stays on schedule.
During the visit, it was confirmed that major components of the development have been completed.
The astroturf field, tennis courts, ablution facilities, and the 5-a-side football pitch have all been finalised. Construction work on the main hall has also been completed.
“Only minor outstanding works remain, including water connections to improve water pressure, as well as cosmetic finishes such as paving and landscaping,” the mayor said.
