It seems to be a case of the X as television channel Moja Love announced on Friday, the return of drug-busting show Sizok’thola.
The third season of anti-drugs is making its way back to our small screens in April with a new presenter, Moja Love confirmed.
Xolani Maphanga better known as X on the show X-Repo will replace his namesake, Xolani Khumalo.
In a statement issued, the channel said Maphanga will be sweeping the streets of South Africa clean together with law enforcement whilst rooting out drugs and exposing drug dealers, including drug lords.
“We are excited about the return of one of our flagship shows, Sizok’thola with Xolani Maphanga at the helm.
“As a channel, we are deeply invested in contributing positively to our society and we are aware of the impact of drugs, not only on the youth but the nation as a whole.
“Through Sizok’thola and in collaboration with communities and law enforcement, we are of the firm belief that the show will contribute positively in the fight against drugs, co-heads of channel, Shoki Zama and Livhuwani Dagada remarked.

Maphanga added; “I have witnessed the impact of drugs on the youth including how they leave families scarred for life and it gives me great honour to contribute to a social justice programme and a show that tackles the scourge of drugs head on.
“This is a fight we cannot win alone, so we will be working closely with communities and law enforcement to fight the scourge of drugs in our communities.”
Meanwhile, former Sizokuthola presenter Xolani Khumalo’s murder case was postponed at the Palm Ridge magistrate court due to Moja Love delaying handing over video footage of the incident.
Khumalo is accused of Robert Varries’ murder in July 2023 after an interrogation by the show’s crew in July.
The court proceedings were delayed by more than an hour as the prosecution waited for the channel to bring the video footage to court despite a formal request through section 205 of the Criminal Procedure Act, which allows investigators access to information, reports SowetanLIVE.
State prosecutor Pheello Vilakazi told the court: “A formal request has been lodged with Moja Love by the state for the purposes of obtaining video footage of the day of the incident.
“However, Moja Love have prolonged the providing of the [footage of the] incident to the extent that today they said they will come to provide the footage but subsequent to that, they said they are not going to come but they will provide the footage to the investigating officer.”
The footage in question is said to be of use in identifying further suspects and for forensic investigations.
The case was postponed to April 11.
